Seva i.e. selfless service is given highest importance in Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi Faith. Seva can be internal or external. To follow the commands of the Sant Satguru of the time with a sincere heart and to perform the practice that He discloses, with attention is internal Seva. This also helps in controlling and subduing the mind. The external Seva can be rendered physically or by making offerings of money and wealth. Physical Seva can be rendered by performing with love, external Seva of Sant Satguru but opportunity for such Seva is necessarily limited as the number of devotees being very large. Participating in His programmes for which there are of course plenty of opportunities, is also physical Seva. Seva of money and wealth can be rendered by making offerings (Bhent). The practice of making such offerings is prevalent virtually in all religions in one form or the other. In Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi Faith the offering is made to the Supreme Being, Huzur Ra Dha Sva Aa Mi Dayal. The Sant Satguru himself also offers such Bhent. Bhent can be made only by initiated Satsangis and requires approval of Sant Satguru. The offering can be made in open Satsang by placing the money before the Holy Feet of Sant Satguru or as may be directed by Him. It can be either a general Bhent or specific for a purpose like establishment of some Satsang institution or for schemes of welfare of the people. The offerings made are not kept by the Sant Satguru and is never spent to meet any personal expenditure. According to the Constitution of Sabha all property and money offered as Bhent to Supreme Being vests in Sabha which utilizes it for Satsang or charitable purposes. At present there is no practice of accepting general Bhent in Dayalbagh. Only on the occasion of Bhandara once in a year the Satsangis were allowed to offer Bhent upto Rs.200 maximum for a few years. Bhent is also allowed to be offered for running the affairs of the Branch Satsang upto maximum amount of Rs.200 in a year. For construction of Prayer Halls or Satsang Bhawans Bhent upto Rs.2000 is allowed. Bhent thus received is spent only for that purpose. | ||||||
